Notes about Gujarati romanization table.

For English romanization of Indic Ginans, we use Gujarati romanization table from The Library of Congress with following necessary changes.

For ચ We use ch instead of ca,

For છ chh instead of ch

For શ sh instead of  śa

For ષ ṣ instead of sha

For ◌̇, If nasal dot is followed by any letter other then પ (p), ફ (ph), બ (b), ભ (bh), મ (m), then dot is pronounced as nasal sound of ન ṅ. Letter+,  (તુંહી = tuṅhī, હું = huṅ, જંગી = jaṅgī).

Note: if dot on letter pronounce ‘N’ then we do not put dot on ‘N’ (હંસપુરી = hanspurī instead of haṅspurī, સંતોષ = santoṣ instead of saṅtoṣ

If nasal dot is followed by letters પ (p), ફ (ph), બ (b), ભ (bh), મ (m), than dot is pronounced as nasal sound of મ . Letter+, (જંપૂદીપ = jaṁpūdīp, સાંભળો = sāṁbhḷo)

For ઝ z if this letter is in word of Islami or Ismaili terminology (ઝીકર = Zikar instead of Jhikar)

For ફ  if this letter is in word of Islami or Ismaili terminology (ફરમાન = Farmān instead of Pharmān)

We also added three letters ત્ર tra, ક્ષ ksha, જ્ઞ gṅa which we see in our Ginān books.
